The Epsom fleet was always the tool of our trade and grew from one ex-army Lancia “charabanc” to the modern fleet of 2017 comprising 150 buses and coaches, along with the support fleet.  Along the way several industry firsts, including the UK’s first 36ft (11metre) coach back in 1963, air-conditioning, tinted glass, the first hybrid bus in London and the first low floor accessible buses as well.  Epsom’s bus division Quality Line introduced air-conditioning for London Bus drivers back in 2009 and separate “interurban” passenger seating, was also a first. Both now standard specification for London buses.   Double deck buses were introduced in 2007, along with work to accommodate them in the garage as it was then.

A detailed record of the fleet along with photographs of many of them have been archived over the years.  A brochure covering the fleet from 1920 to 2015 and published for our 95th Anniversary Open Day is reproduced on line and available for all for the first time.   The fleet list has been updated to record the additions and disposal from June 2015 to June 2017. In addition, it is planned to include many more fleet photographs, including their lives after vehicles moved on from the Epsom fleet.
