John Reeves, another long term stalwart of Epsom Coaches has sadly passed away after a short illness. John for many years lived in Epsom, but more recently had moved up to the Durham area with his wife Daphne, to be with his family and had lived in a nursing home for some time.
As well as his driving duties, John could also turn his hand to property maintenance and during the off season was often to be seen helping out with any jobs that needed doing. Above all, John was a commiserate professional, his driving skills honed over many years with the firm as was his knowledge of the coach business, which he used to good effect. Whilst “old school”, John adapted to the vast changes in the industry over his long service and was respected and well liked in equal measure by those he worked with and his customers.
John Reeves was a unique character who will be sadly missed. We send our sincere condolences to Daphne, his family and friends.
